MOD Pizza | CATERING

In early 2025, MOD Pizza launched its first catering initiative. To support this large and fast-moving effort, the creative team sprang into action to develop bespoke assets to support owned channels, online ordering, in-restaurant signage, and digital advertising. Our challenge was to create a unique look and feel for the program while embracing our brand’s existing aesthetic.

Inspired by a Community

Much of the MOD Pizza brand references ‘handmade’ discipline. You’ll find an overlap of art and pizza in non-symmetrical elements, organic lines, and crafty graphics. We wanted to channel this aesthetic for the program while interpreting ‘who are the communities that order catering?’. What is the common ground between corporate boardrooms and, say, a weekend poolside gathering or a children’s birthday party?

We found inspiration in graphic novels.

With bold shadows, dimension-bending layers, and classic “dialogue popouts,” we aimed to capture the eye-catching energy of comic layouts, while maintaining an emphasis on desirable food.

Introducing MOD PIZZA CATERING

To kick off the program, we developed paid and streaming media, including writing a CTA insert for existing evergreen CTV ads, to achieve a fast and economical turnaround.
